Where do ET-Forex rates come from?
Directly from the exchange rate boards Ethiopian commercial banks publish themselves. Every tracked bank is re-read automatically several times a day. Nothing is estimated or averaged into a single "market rate", and parallel (black market) rates are not collected or quoted. When a bank stops publishing, its page says so and shows the trading day its last figures belong to.
How many banks and currencies does ET-Forex track?
30 Ethiopian commercial banks and 20 currencies against the Ethiopian birr, including USD, EUR, GBP, AED and SAR. Every bank publishes both a cash rate for physical notes and a transactional rate for transfers, remittances and card settlement, and both are shown.

How often do Ethiopian bank exchange rates change?
Most Ethiopian banks reprice once per business day, typically in the morning, and hold that board until the next working day. Rates do not usually move at weekends or on public holidays. ET-Forex re-reads every bank several times a day so a mid-day revision is picked up rather than waited out.
Can I convert an amount at the best available rate?
